Ms Roshid completed her LLB (Hons) from Queen Mary University of London and then began employment in the civil service, as an Immigration Officer. She returned to Queen Mary University to complete her Masters in Law (LLM).
Ms Roshid joined Makka Solicitors Ltd in 2007. She initially worked for Makka Solicitors Ltd as a Caseworker. She then progressed her career as a Trainee Solicitor and subsequently qualified as a solicitor in 2010. In 2011, she became a partner in the firm. Unfortunately, in 2016, Ms Roshid was diagnosed with throat cancer and since then, after many lengthy operations, she has lost her speech. However, she still remains a valuable member of the team and a director of the firm.
Ms Roshid has extensive experience in Asylum, Immigration and Human Rights Law, Family, Conveyancing and Litigation. She was an accredited Senior caseworker under the Law Society Asylum and Immigration Accreditation Scheme. Ms Roshid is fluent in Bengali/Sylheti, Urdu and Hindi.
